Hi, I am Brian Balloon!

Welcome to my portfolio and thank you for visiting!

After getting married and moving to Dallas, I received my own camera. I began portraits by attending Instagram model photography workshops and taking tutorials online to learn editing processes. I progressed to capturing movement by learning about dance and terminology and by working with dancers around the DFW area, attending conferences, and being inspired by their beautiful movements and dedication to their art. I have done photography now for over 5 years and am now excited to be expanding into videography as well!

My vision is simply to produce amazing images and video for you that you love. It is to create an environment that empowers you to safely express your physicality and creativity at your best technique and artistry to create media that we both feel is beautiful, expressive and amazing.

More About Me

My creative history is in the performing arts. While I started in vocal music and was a member of many choirs, I eventually found an interest in portrait photography. While attending local meetups and workshops, I worked with models and practiced photography and did many photoshoots. Then I found dance photography. The beauty and artistry of dance caught me by surprise as I began to see the beauty and athleticism of dance and movement through photography online. I decided I would expand from portrait photography into dance photography, following several dance photographers, taking workshops and training, becoming educated about dance and its terminology and taking occasional dance classes. My initial interest in dance started when I lived back in California and took elective courses of Jazz Piano and Jazz Dance after college. Fast forward several years later, and I've had a fulfillment of a goal. I have had the privilege of working with and taking photos and video of some of the best pre-pro and professional dancers and studios in the Dallas area.

In addition to creating visual work for dancers and studios, I host a podcast exploring the artistry and stories of the dance community.

I always seek to create the best experience for you by consistently attending workshops and educational shoots and applying what I've learned to your photoshoots. I am honored to be featured among the best portrait photographers in Dallas, TX and to have my dance photography featured in several magazines. While my specialty is portrait and dance, I also enjoy doing many other different types of shoots, including family and life events, food, fashion, sports and fitness. I am dedicated to capturing your style and your amazing moments in timeless images!
